Took about four hours to do. Completely painted in Photoshop.
Default round brush, flattened. Took some inspiration from the new Sparth book - Structura 2.
The image represents a power plant based in the cold mountains. The few staff that work there live on Pot Noodles.

To create a similar image (with no revisions) would cost about £50 ($80).

Hey James now I look at this one, I was wondering if you use the standard round brushes or do you use other brushes aswell?:) Just wondering^^ However the painting looks realy cool, like your other works:)

I use the standard brushes mostly, the soft round, hard round and now a chalky brush. Not really got into custom brushes except for the occasional shape here and there.

I see man, thanks for telling, I was wondering that when taking some second, or third looks on your works:) Yea I have downloaded some custom packs but I actually only use a few of them, but now after trying it with a normal brush, to achieve the same result, I actually don't realy need them anymore. But well, I keep them saved as a set in my Photoshop, in case it can be usefull some day to quickly generate a painting.:)

Using custom brushes is tough, especially if someone created them for a specific reason. Feng zhu always recommends learning with basic brushes so you don't become dependent on them. [link]
I expect you have probably already discovered feng zhu, he is my favorite free resource.
